Chilli Chicken Recipe
Here's a recipe for making Chilli Chicken:
Ingredients:- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large capsicum, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornflour mixed with 1/2 cup water
- Spring onion greens, chopped for garnishing
Instructions:
Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, 1 tablespoon cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper powder for at least 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the marinated chicken until it turns golden brown. Remove from the oil and keep aside.
In another pan, heat some oil and add chopped onion, capsicum, green chillies, and garlic. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
Add soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup, and chilli sauce to the pan and mix well.
Add the fried chicken to the pan and mix everything well.
Add the cornflour-water mixture and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
Garnish with chopped spring onion greens and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
