Fish Teriyaki Full Recipe Indian Style
Here is a recipe for Fish Teriyaki with an Indian twist:
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of boneless fish fillets (any firm white fish such as tilapia or cod)
- 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon of red chili flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- Chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
Pat dry the fish fillets and season them with salt and pepper. Keep them aside.
In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and red chili flakes.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan on medium heat. Once hot, add the fish fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
Remove the fish fillets from the pan and keep them aside.
In the same pan, add the teriyaki sauce mixture and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Add garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder to the sauce and stir well.
Add the fish fillets back into the pan and coat them with the sauce.
Cook for 2-3 minutes until the fish is fully cooked and the sauce has coated the fish evenly.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice.
